If you need help registering for courses or would like to talk with an instructor on what courses would benefit you come and see us! The registration desk is located outside of Mosaic Vocational School and an instructor will be at the desk from 1:30-3:00 every Thursday and Friday. You can call us with your questions at any time or register online at any time.

Kids Summer Learning Camp! (Grades 3-6)

Why: Just because school is out for the summer doesn’t mean the learning should stop. This isn’t your typical text book learning. Its hands on with tons of fun experiments and projects that your child will remember for a life time.

The skills learned in this course will be transferable to many careers in the workforce such as landscaping, as well as many careers in the hospitality industry. These skills can also help you in everyday life like doing basic maintenance around the house.

This is a fun course filled with games and prizes to make learning even more fun!

In this course you will learn how to;

  • Maintain a trail system
  • Ensure safety of campground
  • Ensure that all water taps, fountains, washhouses, showers and toilets are in good repair with drains running freely
  • Maintain Water posts and immediate area
  • Maintain parking lots and roadways
  • Maintain information Shelters and Signs
  • Maintain a trail system
  • Maintain garbage and recycling
  • Bed making and cabin cleaning
  • Toilets/showers/change house
  • Pit toilets building maintenance
  • Maintain trails, walkways, paths, steps, stairs and adjacent areas
  • Picnic shelters
  • Boat launch areas

Ahousaht Career Expo

On March 22nd and 23rd Mosaic Vocational School instructors and experts traveled to Ahousaht for a Career Expo. Fun was had by both students and instructors. Day one’s topics were careers in nursing and naloxone training, as well as FOODSAFE. Day two consisted of barista training, bird house making and talking about careers in the construction industry. The goal of this expo was to bring awareness to possible future career choices for the community of Ahousaht.
